The World's biggest forest (man-made) was in Venezuela. Uverito forest, was named. We refer about it in past. It was great, now, even that, marxism and corruption just fulminated this real Oasis!
Millions of trees of Pinus caribaea where planted. Plantulae where produced at the Mountains San Antonio de Capayacuar, a great coffee and cacao plantation area at Turimiquire Chain. Proforca was the Company charged with this titanic task, and belonged to the also huge CVG (Venezuelan Guayana Corporativo).
Here the mature pines can reach succesful reproduction and then the germination process is carry out around this once great example of a good state owned company during decades.
Those miniature pines where then transported downhill to the great East part of Venezuela's plains, Los Llanos, an authoctonous savannah like ecosystem.
Just South of Anzoátegui and Monagas states, at the very border of the also gigant Orinoco flow. Millions of acres of tall tropical pines! In fact it changed the local micro climate! Fresher air, more rains, more birds and insects and deers! More green in a region once almost in process of desertification!
Man* made yes!
Venezuelan people made yes!
